Description

Friday, October 23, 2015 at 9:00 am (FF1) – “Tennessee State Penitentiary History Captured” – Brian Allison and Yoshie Lewis, Authors and Historical Researchers, will discuss their new book by the same title and relate penal methods of punishment in Tennessee and early America. The old Tennessee State Prison building is one of the most intriguing and forbidding landmarks in Nashville. This presentation will bring some of the almost-forgotten history of the place back to life, shining a light on the many who once lived in the shadows of the city.
